Anime, Manga, and Japanese Culture  (4th to 6th grade)

This class has been discounted from $25 to $20 since the 10/4 class has already taken place.

In this class we will be looking at the History of Anime, how to draw your own Manga, the differences between Japanese culture and American culture and how we can see that in our media, and much more to help students both have a broader understanding of the world around them as well as how to more closely enjoy their favorite Anime and Manga series. Age appropriate anime and manga shows will be recommended. We encourage parents to review and determine if these shows are fit for their child.

Snacks and Crafts  (2nd to 4th grade)

This class has been discounted from $30 to $25 since the 10/4 class has already taken place.

In this class we will either make a craft and/or learn how to make a snack or food!

We will cover homemade taco seasoning, hand sewing a felt bag, wind-chimes, painting rocks, making energy bites, Cheerio owls, and much more.

Schedule: 5 classes remaining, Wednesdays, 3:30-4:15 pm, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25, 11/1, 11/15

Gymnastics (All grade levels)

Join everyone’s favorite gym teacher for fun on the mats! Students will improve strength, flexibility, and confidence while developing better techniques in their skills. They will work hard and have fun as well!

Instructor: Mr. LoCantore

Fee: $30 per child

Schedule: 4 classes, 3:25-4:25

-3rd Grade: Mondays, 10/2, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30 (*no class 10/9)

-2nd Grade: Tuesdays, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24

-Kindergarten & 1st Grade: Wednesdays, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 11/1 (*no class 10/25)

-4th, 5th,& 6th Grades: Thursdays, 10/5 10/12, 10/19, 11/2 (*no class 10/26)

Kids Yoga (2nd to 6th grade)

Whether this will be your child’s first class or if they are already a little yogi, this 4 class series on Fridays will help them wind down from the school week. Stretching, yoga fundamentals, fun animal poses, mindfulness, and relaxation will all be covered by certified yoga instructor Piera Meil.

Schedule: 4 classes, Fridays 3:30-4:10pm, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3

Required materials: Students are welcome to bring their own yoga mats. If they do not have one, gym mats will be provided.

Image Making with Nature  (2nd to 6th grade)

Let’s make images with nature! Learn how to make a pinhole camera, plant dye prints, paper making, sun shadow photos, and more! 

Instructor: Abby Lutz

Fee: $30 per child

Schedule: 6 classes, Mondays 3:30-4:15 pm, 10/2, 10/16, 10/30, 11/13, 11/20, 11/27.

Coding for Kids with Scratch Jr.  (Kindergarten, 1st, & 2nd grades)

There are so many reasons why we should teach kids how to code and about computer programming.  This class is designed to get your child excited about programming, problem-solving, and expressing their creativity in a digital format.  During this 4 week series, your child will learn about programming while creating their own interactive stories and games using Scratch Jr, which is designed for K-2nd students to learn about coding concepts without the need to read.

Fee: $20 per child

Schedule: 4 classes, Fridays 3:30-4:30pm, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3

Required materials: We will coordinate the use of school chromebooks, which will be returned to their classroom after each session.
